Platinum pens company was founded in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata as Nakaya Seishakusho in Tokyo. Now Platinum pens are internationally recognized for their premium writing quality. Model 3776 Century was issued and named for the company's 100th anniversary.
Later Toshiya Nakata with the company's technicians developed the Slip and Seal technology, this technology keeps the ink wet without drying out even after 24 months in the pen.
