Platinum 3776 Century Fuji Shunkei Kinshu. Kinshu is the latest model in the Fuji Shunkei series which is inspired by the seasonal landscape of Mount Fuji. The Japanese word KINSHU refers to an autumn landscape. The pattern on the body depicting fiery fall foliage is reproduced through detailed cutting. The red color, which the Japanese call HIIRO, used also resembles the color of flames. The intricate curves refract the light and tie together with the golden ring. A small Mt.Fuji is placed at the top of the pen, expressing the mountain peak with fiery colors of autumn leaves. The cap ring is decorated with elaborate 3D lettering. The pen has been produced in a limited edition of 4,500 pieces.
Along with the previous versions that gained popularity for their intricate designs that amount to a work of craftsmanship realized through a complex cutting process, the new and latest pen in the series is highly collectible. To celebrate the completion of the Fuji Shunkei series, KINSHU features a pen-shaped stainless steel bookmark depicting the five designs of the Fuji Shunkei series. Platinum pens company was founded in 1919 by Shunichi Nakata as Nakaya Seishakusho in Tokyo. Now Platinum pens are internationally recognized for their premium writing quality. Model 3776 Century was issued and named for the company's 100th anniversary.
Later Toshiya Nakata with the company's technicians developed the Slip and Seal technology, this technology keeps the ink wet without drying out even after 24 months in the pen.
