Part of the prestigious Namiki Urushi Collection, the Yukari Royale fountain pen is a true masterpiece of Japanese craftsmanship, created by the skilled maki-e artisans of Kokkokai in Japan.

It features the traditional Roiro Urushi technique, applied entirely by hand in a deep, solid black lacquer. The pen measures 15.0 cm in length (capped) and has a barrel diameter of 1.5 cm, offering a bold yet well-balanced presence in the hand.

Its remarkable nib is made of solid 18k gold, in the extra-large #20 size (23mm)—the same nib used in the renowned Namiki Emperor series. It delivers a smooth, consistent, and luxurious writing experience.

About Pilot

The first PILOT fountain pens began to be produced in Japan in 1918. Ryosuke NAMIKI, a mechanical engineer and professor at the Tokyo Merchant Marine Collage, was captivated by the ingenuity of these fountain pens that his contemporaries called “10,000 year brushes” because of the uninterrupted flow of ink. Using his industrial engineering skills, he created a high-quality prototype. After forming a partnership with one of his colleagues, Masao WADA, he established NAMIKI MANUFACTURING COMPANY and began manufacturing fountain pens. As a tribute to their other shared passion, the sea, the couple used the brand name PILOT, referring to the flagship of the fleet. In 1938 the company became PILOT PEN Co Ltd.
